2006 News

8/6/06:
Congratulations team on the 13th place finish at the 12A Western Nationals and your overall successful season.

7/17/06:
Great job team on your 3rd place showing at State.  You should be proud.  It is a fantastic accomplishment.

We have decided not to attend Regionals this weekend.  There are only a small handful of teams and it wouldn't be very effective for us as we prepare for the 12A Western Nationals.  We also won't attend the Summer Nationals due to the fact that we won't be able to attend the entire tournament with us leaving to go to California.

6/25/06:
Congratulations ladies on earning a Nationals Berth this weekend by coming in 2nd place at the 12A National Qualifier.

4/12/06:
Saturday's 1 day tournament schedule has been posted.  Here are the details about our games:

Game 1 vs. Voodoo Dollz - 11:45am at the Crater Complex

If we win game 2 will play at 1:15pm, if we loose game 2 will play at 3:00pm

Today's games have been cancelled.  They have been moved to next weekend.  Please see our schedules page for updated information.

3/29/06:
We will have three practice games for this Sunday, April 2.  Here are the details:

Game 1 - 11:00am vs. Vancouver Baseblasters
Game 2 - 1:00pm vs. Vancouver Baseblasters
Game 3 - 3:00pm vs. Forest Grove Rampage

3/26/06:
We have at least 1 practice game scheduled for Sunday, April 2nd.  One game will be at Noon against the Forest Grove Rampage.  We are trying to get another game with another team for either before or after this game against the Rampage.  All games will be held at BHS.  please wear your black.

3/16/06:
At this point our double header planned for Sunday is still on.  First game starts at 11:00am - arrive at the field at 9:50am for warm-ups. Please wear black uniforms with black under armor.

3/11/06:
Some of our girls helped by giving softball demonstrations at the 2006 Oregon Kidfest Convention. 

2/28/06:
Year to year photos of Miranda have been added.

2/23/06:
Additional photos of our girls are beginning to be added to their roster pages.  Please check out the girls profiles as they continue to add photos, especially in the year to year photo page (link found on each players profile page).  Recent additions include Kayla, Tori, Marla and Lindsay.  Stay tuned for further additions.

2/21/06:
We have a double header scheduled against the Oregon Spirit on Sunday March, 19th.  First game will start at 11:00am.  Games will be at Beaverton High School.

2/13/06:
We have a few changes to our schedule.  The state tournament has been changed from 7/8 to the following weekend.  We have added a 14B tournament for the 7/8 weekend.  Finally, the Western Nationals will start earlier so that date has been changed.

2/5/06:

2/4/06:
We have a new photo album online.  It is a collection of photos from our winter workout sessions.

2/1/06:
Come one, come all to our 2nd annual Super Bowl party.  The party will be begin anytime after 2:00pm and is at the Garcia home.  Contact Chris if you haven't signed up to bring a food item.

1/25/06:
We will not be having practice this Friday.  Please see our schedules page for an up to date practice schedule.

We will also be making a fan gear order next Monday so please have your order place by this Sunday.

1/10/06:
We have practice this Friday night at Village Baptist Church.  Practice starts at 7:00 - Pitchers and Catchers arrive at 6:30.  Please wear your orange practice jersey.

We are also planning our 2nd annual Super Bowl Party at the Garcia home.  If you want to organize the event, please email Chris.

1/03/06:
Our first practice will be held at Village Baptist Church.  Directions can be found by CLICKING HERE.  Remember to all girls need to wear their practice jersey's (fall ball jersey's).  We will be wearing the orange side of the jersey.

1/01/06:
Our schedules page has been updated with some detail on some of our summer tournament schedule and our first 2006 practice.

12/09/05:
We have added fan gear to families to order.  Please download the order form and send, along with a check, to our PO box to order apparel.  Our first order will happen sometime in January.  Please let Garcia know if you want to add additional apparel or have questions.

11/17/05:
We have changed the bowling party.  Here is the new information

• Date - Sunday, 11/20

• Time - 12:00 - 1:00pm - Be at the Alley by 11:45am

• Location - Tigard Bowl

11/11/05:
We hope all of the girls will be able to attend our team bowling party.  Here is the information:

• Date - 11/19

• Time - 6:00 - 8:00pm

• Location - Tigard Bowl

• Cost - $15.00 per girl including shoes.  If we use all three lanes then the price goes down to $12.50

10/19/05:
ANNA HAS A LITTLE BROTHER!  A HUGE welcome into the world and our Blaze family is in order.  Corey Thomas was born to the Rau family on Oct. 17th at 4:57pm.  Corey's 8 lbs, 6oz and 21 1/2 inches long.  Congratulations!

10/17/05:
Fabulous fall ball season!  We ended up with a .958 winning percentage with 11 wins, no loses and one tie.  We also won the 12A fall ball championship winning all four games.  Let's build on these results as we move into winter training.

10/7/05:
We have been accepted to the Colorado Fireworks tournament in Broomfield Colorado.  The dates of the tournament is between 6/30 - 7/4.  CLICK HERE for the tournament website.  CLICK HERE to see a list of the other teams in the tournament.

10/1/05:
The tournament has been cancelled.  They are planning to reschedule for the 15th and 16th.

Today's games have been cancelled.  They will try to make them up tomorrow.  Stay tuned.

9/19/05:
Great fall so far ladies.  Keep it up.

9/8/05:
The schedule for this weekend's fall ball games are now posted onto our Schedules page. 

We should have our mesh fall uniform tops by Friday.  Along with the mesh tops please wear black shorts, black socks, black visor and be sure to wear a black undershirt as the tops are mesh.

8/23/05:
We are please to announce our final roster pickup for the 2006 season; Chelsea.  Chelsea played for the 12A Oregon Slammers last season.  She played 3rd base for them and we look forward to her being part of the team.  Welcome Chelsea and family!

Saturday's swim party is still on.  The party will start at 3:30 and will be held at the Rau's home.  Pizza will also be provided.

8/22/05:
Tonight's team meeting has to be postponed.  We are still planning on the Saturday team swimming party.

8/19/05:
Just a reminder that we have a team meeting on Monday.  Feel free to bring the girls.

We are also planning a swimming party for Saturday, August 27th.  More details will be announced soon.

Finally, we will need a check to cover several fall ball expenses including fall ball fees, reversible tops we will use for fall ball (and then use as practice jerseys along with new jackets.

8/17/05:
We would like to welcome two new members to our blaze family.  First we would like to welcome Miranda.  Miranda played last year for the 10A Silver Bullets.  Secondly, we would like to welcome Lindsay.  Lindsay played for the 12B Lake Oswego Renegades last season but finished the season with the 12A Oregon Slammers.  Both players come with excellent skills and team spirit. We would like to officially welcome both of these families to the Blaze-Edwards family.

More new player announcements will take place within the next week.

We would also like to say goodbye and a huge thank you to 4 team members that have moved on.  Page, Molly, Emily and Danielle, you will always be Blaze family members.

We will be having a team kickoff meeting.  Here are the details:

Congratulations to both the Corona Angles and the USA Athletics for taking 1st and 2nd at the 10A Nationals.  We enjoyed playing you earlier this season and look forward to playing you again soon.
