8/7/05:
Congratulations to both the Corona Angles and the USA Athletics for
taking 1st and 2nd at the 10A Nationals. We enjoyed playing you
earlier this season and look forward to playing you again soon
7/31/05:
Congratulations to the entire Blaze family for the wonderful season.
The heart you all showed this weekend was indicative of the way you
played all season, full of heart. Congratulations to Alyse, Anna,
Kayla, Marla and Sarah for being named to the All World Team.
Another congratulations to Kayla for being named tournament MVP.
Remember that our 12U tryouts will
be held August 10th and 12th. Hope to see everyone attend.

7/29/05:
Our first game is tomorrow at 11:30am. Please be at the field at
9:45am.
We will also need to wear our full
uniforms tonight (tops, shorts, socks shoes (no cleats) (black uniform)
for opening ceremonies. We will be meeting at 8:00pm in front of
Crater Elementary in Newberg.
7/26/05:
Tonight's practice has been cancelled. There will be a parents
meeting and light practice tomorrow.
7/25/05:
Great job ladies on finishing 3rd in Regionals. It was a tough
road and everyone played so hard. Enjoy the accomplishment.
Tryout dates for this team for the
2005 fall and 2006 summer have been set. Please go to our

There also is a online registration form. All returning players
must fill out the form to tryout. It has a medical consent that
must be submitted.

The bracket is
up for our hosted Fathers Day tournament and can be found on our

We have
scheduled our team photo with the fire truck for next Tuesday,
6/14th at 5:30pm. We will meet at the fire station that is about 3
blocks west of the JV field on Farmington. Girls are to wear
their black uniforms and bring their gear (mitts, bats, etc.).

Pin orders need
to be given to Mike or Tiffiny Gooding by noon Wednesday (only if
you want more than 40 pins).

Today's games have been postponed due to the weather. Another

Please note that our next tournament
is a 12U tournament so all of the girls need to start throwing with the
bigger ball.

Due to the lack of interest in our April 2nd friendly, we will be moving
it back to April 16th. Youthfastpitch owes us money from the fall
so we will be playing in one of their 12B tournaments.

We will be holding a one day 10U softball friendly at Beaverton High
School on Saturday, March 26th. More details on who will be
attending, times of games as well as job assignments for all of the
parents will be posted soon. This will be a great opportunity to get
some early games as well as a way to make some $.
2/7/05:
A special thanks to the Garcia family for hosting the first annual
Beaverton Blaze Super Bowl party. It was great having such good
participation. We all had a great time.

We are scheduled for our first 3 game friendly for Sunday, 2/13 in
Auburn Washington. More information including game times and a map
to the fields will be forthcoming.

We have placed two additional tournaments onto our schedule - the Oregon
State Tournament and the NFPSA Summer Nationals. Please visit our

tournament that we planned on hosting into a ASA Junior Olympic Pacific
Challenge Series National Qualifier.

To help facilitate raising funds for the season, we have posted several
documents that families can use as a resource.

A sponsorship
letter can be used to solicit donations from local businesses. The
letter can be found by

Each player has
their own personalized player donation request letter. This
letter can be used to send to family and friends.

Each player also
has their own personalized player donation thank you letter.
Both of these letters, along with a copy of the sponsorship letter,
can be found on each of the girls player profiles.

1/2/05:

The January and February indoor practice schedule has been updated in
our Schedules page.
12/9/04:
Practice has been cancelled for this Sunday, 12/12, due to a camp being
held inside Grand Slam.
12/1/04:
Four 2005 tournaments have been confirmed. Please check our

Also, we want to start gathering
information from all families around any potential conflicts you may
have next year including vacations, other sporting events, etc.

10/18/04:
Several news items to report today:
-
The fall ball
season is officially over. We will not be holding any
additional fall ball or practice games this fall season. All
of the coaches are very happy about the performance of all of the
girls this fall and are extremely excited about the upcoming 2005
season.
-
We are
tentatively planning a parent meeting for next Thursday, 10/28 at
Beaverton High School. Several items we will be discussing
includes the upcoming 2005 season, winter workouts, finances, etc.
More information to come.

We are also
beginning to arrange winter workouts starting in November. Stay
tuned!
-
Finally, please
remember to sign the web posting consent form and bring it to the
parents meeting. You can also bring your daughters player
profile form.
10/17/04:
Sunday's games HAVE BEEN CANCELLED. The coaches are working on
